SILHOUETTE
This piece is realllly special to me. Happy Birthday to me :) Today its time to recall something............
Some 20 yrs back I was in Kanha National Park. Kanha National Park is a national park and a Tiger Reserve in the Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, India. I decided, Nostalgia set by the photographs I was checking out should lead to something creative ! An art attack stuck and down came an idea of converting one of the beautiful camera shot into an acrylic painting.
The theme is obviously " Wild Life" and the subject is " Barasingha" / "Swamp Deer"
I have used a 19 In * 17 In rolled canvas and acrylic paints. Shades of Orange, Yellow and Ocher yellow made the sky for me. I had to ensure the perfect blending of shades to avoid patches. Wanted a sunset look for this painting which was successfully possible with the black silhouettes of the animal and the tree branch at the back. The base had to be black. A golden touch to the leaves gave a depleting sun ray feel.
This art piece is perfectly suited with a broad black frame. Alternatively, a combination of white and black can give you the below effect-
Foreseeing how a painting will look on the wall is quite a task. I am sure the pictures below can surely help you out-
